October Goals

September has come and just about gone. I would say I am sad to see it go, but I live for the fall/winter season. As things continue to grow for me career wise I am trying to find ways to better perfect me as a growing woman. There are so many things in my life that I seek to accomplish, but there is nothing that I desire more than to work on becoming a better me. As September was coming to a close I thought of all of the things I wanted to achieve as October rolls in. I plan to revisit my goal list early-mid next November and let you all know how well things went.

Contribute More Time to The Completion of Sacrifices, Love and Deception 2– I feel like I have a book full of greatness, but there is still a long way to go. I want to be able to release my 4th book by next spring. In order to reach that goal I need to commit more time out of my schedule to my latest writing project.

Avoid Internalizing Things– I possess a terrible habit of internalizing everything that I am faced with. It’s hard for me to feel as if everything isn’t a personal attack against me. This month I plan to challenge myself more to break away from that terrible habit.

Drink More Water- I say that as I just guzzled a Martinelli’s Apple Juice while I am currently sipping a Canada Dry. My water intake has fallen off track lately. I need to focus on nourishing my body a bit more. October means more water!

Find a New Devotional Book/Inspirational App to Read Daily/Nightly- I have been reading Joyce Myer’s “The Confident Woman Devotional” Every night at 7:30pm for the last two years. I always attempt to start and end my day on a positive note. What’s more positive than starting your day and ending it with some spiritual motivation?

Spend More Time Outdoors– Sadly; I have an extremely unhealthy relationship with Netflix! It continues to spiral since the full season 1 of Being Mary Jane has been added. I could rest in bed, read books all weekend, or sit in my home office and write for hours. While this all seems like the ideal life with a cherry on top, I am in dire need of more outdoor experiences. It just provides a better sense of inspiration for me as far as writing goes.

Do Something Bi-weekly to Invest in My Future– As if working isn’t enough LOL. I want to try to do more things that contribute to me being the success I am going to be. While I continue to make strides forward in my life and career, I want to be sure I am being all that I am called to be daily. In lamest terms, more of doing, less of being “lazy”.

Find More Random Outings to Do with Friends– I feel as if life’s best moments are those that are unplanned and spontaneous. I hope to have more random, unpredictable, yet memorable moments to celebrate throughout the month of October.

Another goal that’s less of a goal and more so a hobby is to stock up on wine LOL. Fall and winter just screams “pour me a glass girl.” 🙂 Let’s toast to achieving new goals and creating healthy habits for the coming month and all of the months to follow. What are your October goals?

Be Inspired. Be Encouraged. Be Blessed.

  1. These are great goals! I have a few devotionals that I need to just crack open and make happen. I also like the idea of doing something bi-weekly to invest in your future. Can I copy that? lol Looking forward to seeing your progress!

    1. Thank you, I truly appreciate you reading. Right now I am reading the millionaire next door you should check it out. It’s not a devotional, but very inspiring. Feel free to use any of the goals. I believe doing something big-weekly to invest in your future is the strongest one. I’ll share more soon! 🙂
