A Tiny Little Feature That’s A Really BIG Deal

I am not going to pretend that I know what I wanted to say while writing this post. I will say, all day I ignored my iPhone alert telling me I had new goodies on my newsstand app. When I finally decided to open it, I was at my desk jamming to Kenny Lattimore. I was flipping through the pages anxiously with high expectancy to see myself. Several pages in, BOOM* there I was. Even though I’ve known since August the release was scheduled this month I was still in shock when I saw me smiling proudly on the page. It’s way too surreal. Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

My feature for Marie Claire made it in November’s Beauty Issue. My heart literally skipped several beats as I smiled and ranted on with all of my co-workers about my exciting news. I think for any blogger being featured in a MAJOR magazine is a dream. It’s even more exciting to be featured in a magazine that you’ve gotten issues of since you were a little girl, issues that were in your mother’s name (some of which still are) because you were too young to mail in subscriptions in your name.

I can say I am completely over the moon. I truly hope that God grants more amazing shoots such as this one in the near future. The team at Marie Claire is super friendly, beautiful and professional. I had a blast shooting. I quickly got over my fear and nervousness about shooting the moment I sparked up a conversation with the crew. The shoot took place in of course, San Francisco, CA on a slightly muggy, EARLY Saturday morning. I’ve included a few pictures below from my tiny little feature that’s a REALLY big deal to me. I hope that you all enjoy and hopefully you go pick up a copy of the latest issue that’s on stands this week.
