On Thursday night I sat in my bed reading and decided to check my emails. As I scrolled through, I saw an email letting me know that I had been approved for my media credentials and could pick up my tickets to attend the Oprah’s Life You Want Tour. Words could not describe what I felt in those present moments. I will say that I went to the tour with the expectancy to be able to do some full on media coverage for the blog and connect with other bloggers that were there. That was achieved. I did NOT however expect to leave my first night completely changed from the person than I walked in as. I was unsure of what to expect from the event. Me being in attendance became less and less about media coverage and more about what can I learn and how can I bring it back to share it with all of you. I’d be lying if I said I did not think about all of you the entire time. I did my best to post as many updates and pictures on my social networks. But, I wish that there was some sort of way that I can share a piece of my soul so that all of you who read my blog can have a portion of the gift Oprah has given me. I wish that I could look her in her eyes and personally thank her for it all.
I think back on all of the things that I’ve experienced and all of what I thought was life changing, but nothing has ever topped this. I went in feeling like I checked Oprah off of my bucket list, but then I left feeling as if she had checked me off of hers. If you know me, you know that one of the things on my bucket list was to see Oprah. Now that it’s been achieved, I know that the other goal on my bucket list which is to have tea with her every other month is obtainable too. It will happen lol. I’m so blessed to have experienced this two-day life changing event. I pray that everything that I learned from Oprah, Deepak Chopra, Robert Bell, Elizabeth Gilbert and Iyanla Vanzant are lessons that I can share and radiate into the lives of each and every one of you. The best thing you can do when someone gives you a gift that feeds your soul is to share what you were fed with others. You don’t starve when you share; you starve yourself by being greedy. Let that resonate! I love you guys. Please check out blow my photos from the Life You Want Tour Weekend. I will be sharing Part II of my experience soon here on the blog.
Be Inspired. Be Encouraged. Be Blessed.
We were given these really amazing wrist watches and at any given moment the entire arena would be glowing. And then my tweets appeared on the JumboTron. See if you can spot my twitter avi below. 🙂
“O” Town was an outside event for us to visit different booths with the sponsors of the tour. I even made a really awesome note book in the Toyota booth. 🙂
