The Best Of 2014: My Favorite Features and Interviews

All month long on the blog I’ll be highlighting my favorite memories from 2014. It’s been a roller coaster of a year, but an amazing one for sure. It’s had its ups and downs, highs and lows, but I can truly say progress was made. Every week I’ll highlight a specific category and in that category I’ll share my favorite moments that graced the blog. This week I am kicking it off with my favorite features and interviews of 2014 enjoy!

My first on air interview I didn’t know what to expect and I was nervous as hell. I was also battling a cold and praying to God my voice would hold out until the interview wrapped. I discussed the release of my first book , Sacrifices Love and Deception. The book release party plans and so much more. That one time this sweet Angel from Houston, TX named Kiersten reached out to me and asked me to be featured in her online magazine not once, but TWICE. In the most recent interview the two of us discussed the release of my self-help book A Woman’s Quest To Self Love  . I touched on what the process of writing the book was like, details of the book and what inspired me through the process. It was and still is one of my favorite interviews today. I thought I’d just about die the day I walked into Barnes and Noble and saw my work on the shelf. I asked God, “You trying to give me a heart attack?” LOL With all that had taken place prior to me seeing my book on shelves, it was like a breath of fresh air. It was a reminder from God that things were going to happen and no one could stop it. It was God showing me that if I work hard and do what I can he will do what I can not. So of course me, being featured on BN book shelves made one of my top 2014 moments. Get the deets by clicking the link: My First Book Being Sold In Barnes and Noble Stores  whois3

I was featured on one of my favorite Blogs The founder Tyece is a phenomenal woman with an amazing spirit. I’ve always admired her bravery as a writer and every day she continues to inspire me. In my interview with her we discussed my road to becoming a self-published author, what inspired me to become a writer and I even gave tips on the steps to take to become a self-published author. One of my favorite most in-depth interviews of the year. Check it out by clicking the link: Writing, Inspiration And A Little In Between: Chat With Amber Janae

Lastly, but certainly not least my biggest moment of 2014 was of course my feature in Marie Claire Magazine. I remember going shopping to style myself for the shoot thinking, “I wish I could afford to hire somebody.” I did not expect to be one of the many chosen to be featured in the magazine (page 69 to be BeFunky_photo 1 (2).jpgexact LOL.) It had to be one of my most proudest moments to date. The feeling of growing up and reading a magazine and seeing yourself grace the page will be a feeling I will forever remember and that I pray to feel again. So as you can see, 2014 was an amazing year for features and interviews. I can only pray that 2015 brings more amazing moments like those up above. I’d love to hear from you all on what your favorite moments of 2014 were here on the blog. Please feel free to reach out and let me know your favorite moments. Until our next Best Of 2014 post, adios! 🙂

Be Inspired. Be Encouraged. Be Blessed.
