Marketing: Don’t just market your post, services etc., market yourself as well. Use your social media accounts as a platform. Step outside of social media as well. Figuratively and literally speaking. Word of mouth will get you there as well as connectivity. As long as you’re consistent you can go further.
Consistency: I was always told to not start what I can’t finish. Your consistency is what determines everything for your blog and your brand. Without a consistent flow of content, material and all that other good stuff you fail your audience. It’s like sinking a ship before it leaves the dock, GET ACTIVE!
Support: I’ve learned that supporting others work doesn’t always have to be about getting that support in return. I follow some amazing women, all of which inspire me, make me laugh and challenge me to be greater. Learning to support others dreams in this great, big blogosphere won’t kill you, but the lack of support from not being supportive just might.
Know Your Brand: What is the message you are trying to convey to the world? Are you passionate about it? Does it allow you to be original? Are your ideas authentic? Who’s your audience? Is your brand of service to just you or others? Are you authentic in EVERYTHING you do? How far do you want to see your blog grow? All of the above questions are questions you should be asking yourself. If you don’t begin on a solid foundation with an authentic approach you’re cheating yourself. Learn to develop your blog in ways so it doesn’t just satisfy you, but it’s of service to others as well. Find what works, know what works and know who’s watching. Know your brand and build it!
I hope these for daily reminders helped. Blogging is a tough thing to handle, but if it’s something you’re truly passionate about you’ll find ways to manage all of the above plus more. Happy Blogging!
